"Prenatal yoga helps minimize my stress and anxiety by reducing negative tension in my body and my mind through poses, meditation and relaxation. The classes also help me connect with other women whom have had similar experiences.  We begin each session with a check-in, during which we share things that are going well in our pregnancy and any struggles we are facing.  It felt a little intimidating to be so open with strangers but, after a few classes, I began to find relief in connecting with women who have had similar experiences to mine."

"Through these classes, I realized the importance of bonding with other mommas, so I made it a priority to do so at least once a week.  I facilitated a group of expecting mommas at my office, through our internal social network.  I joined a group on Facebook called Ask Chicks, which is a fantastic forum for moms and moms-to-be to ask questions, give advice, and share stories. I also tried to stay connected with friends who either have kids, or are expecting. Developing and maintaining meaningful connections with other women has been critical to the peace of mind I've achieved during this pregnancy."
